- Developing and maintaining standards of design for Web Teks, Inc., including (but not limited to) all in-house websites, print collateral and advertising efforts.
- Provide web graphic design support for all client websites including ( but not limited to) the following duties:
- Accurately quote time required to execute creative portion of project(s)
- Develop initial design concept based on:
- Acceptable Web Teks, Inc. standards and practices.
- Client’s purposes, needs and budget.
- Established criteria as determined by the Sales Team and Production Manager.
- Effectively translate business requirements into compelling site designs
- Develop visual design mockups for all portions of project as requested by Production Manager.
- Create, evaluate, and modify visual prototypes to support usability and development processes.
- Alter and manipulate all client-supplied artwork, images and media as necessary to conform to established design.
- Coordinate with Production Manager and Development Team to provide creative guidance, feedback, additional artwork and revisions as necessary to complete project build out.
- Work closely with Development Team to develop seamless transitions between static and dynamic pages and consistent design standards throughout a site.
- Execute any in-scope changes and edits required by the client.
- Perform Design Review for completed projects to ensure adherence to established design principles and styles.
- Execute any approved maintenance, updates and/or edits required for all client sites.
- Communicate frequently with the Production Manager regarding project scope, status, priority and scheduling.
- Maintain a collection of readily-available, in-house artwork including (but not limited to):
- All company logos (in multiple sizes and formats)
- All reoccurring images (in multiple sizes and formats)
- Any other graphic element frequently used in marketing and promotion of Web Teks, Inc. (slogans, trademarked graphic material, etc.)
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent level of proven experience) in graphic design or related field.
- Strong conceptual and artistic abilities demonstrated by a solid portfolio.
- Must have a keen eye for user interface design and a strong instinct for usability.
- Must be able to understand and interpret a client’s brand as it pertains to their site.
- Combine design theory and take into consideration content, navigational structure and usability issues to create a powerful and integrated experience.
- Cross-platform proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software.
- Thorough knowledge of HTML & CSS.
- Demonstrable design skills and ability to show relevant work.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Motivation to work both independently and collectively.
- Ability to see a project through from start to finish.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical staff.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- 4+ years professional design experience.
- Experience in use of Macintosh and Windows platforms.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe hotoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver.
- Expert knowledge of HTML & CSS.
- Expert knowledge of browser compatibility issues.
- Experience applying theories related to color schemes, use of space, text placement, usability and visual flow.
- Able to create content specification and design guidelines.
- Experience in print design a plus.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, ActionScript, AJAX, etc.) a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An open attitude for taking creative direction.
- Ability to effectively carry out multitask operations/projects, prioritize and meet deadlines is essential.
- Ability to work independently and accurately on multiple projects to completion.
- Must be an effective team player.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Graphic Design and/or related education/training in the Graphics Arts field.

PHP Web Application Developers
- This position requires involvement in the complete development process, from initial requirements gathering, documentation, development and delivery. You will work with a
small team of skilled developers, designers and others to create web applications using PHP and MySQL, primarily on Linux servers.
The work environment is based on collaboration amongst developers, you will always have someone to turn to for advice or help, along with completely flexible working hours and the platform of your choice on your workstation.
You will need to have experience developing web applications in PHP and MySQL, along with a good knowledge and understanding of HTML and JavaScript. An acquaintance with Linux systems administration is a plus. Experience with other languages or databases is helpful, but we develop almost exclusively in PHP/MySQL.

Web Developer

The Web Developer's role at Web Teks is an important and integral part of the web development team. The design and style developed by the Senior Designer for both
client projects and in-house assignments must reinforce the standards and professionalism of the company. It is the responsibility of the Senior Designer not only to ensure
that all products of the Web Teks team visually exemplify these principles, but to consistently refine and update the standards in an effort to maintain fresh, innovative design.
The Web Developer will be responsible for:- Developing dynamic websites based on initial design concept based on: Client's purposes, needs and budget, established criteria as determined by the account team
- Altering any client-supplied artwork, images and media as necessary to conform to established design
- Developing functional, reusable templates based on the approved Design Compositions
- Populating and formatting the templates with provided content, images and media an maintain consistency throughout the website through documented standards
- Posting completed website for in-house review and editing, making any necessary alterations before posting for client review, posting for client review and final production
Requirements:- 4+ years experience designing/developing in a web-based environment using Javascript, CSS, XML and HTML.
- Strong proficiency with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and other Macromedia web applications.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical staff and a basic understanding of dynamically generated websites
- Knowledge of technological aspects of web development and a working knowledge of PHP and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as an open attitude for taking creative direction.
- Ability to work independently and accurately on multiple projects to completion and effectively carry out multitask operations/projects, prioritize and meet deadlines is essential.
Web Conultant
- We are currently seeking additional Web Consultants to work in a collaborative environment
helping facilitate existing projects while creating new business relationships with mid
to large sized companies requiring web development and/or software solutions.
Responsibilities: The Web Consultant candidate will interact with and manage new and existing relationships with partners and business level clients to help facilitate all projects, including managing necessary project communication and ensuring overall client satisfaction throughout the project life cycle. This includes preparing proposals for current accounts and new business development, as well as preparing responses to RFP's. Individual will also act as the liaison between the Production Manager and the Client throughout the life of each project. Strong customer service, organizational and prioritizing skills are a must.
